Q. What makes your DJ service better than the competition?

A. With over 30 years in the entertainment industry we know what makes and breaks a good party – the music! We provide professional DJ’s, all personally trained by the owner (Phat Boy) himself!  Our DJ’s are skilled beat mixers that keep the music going all night long without awkward silence or bad transitions.  We have a massive selection of music (40,000+ songs) ranging from 50’s to current hits. Our DJ’s have the perfect combination of energy and class to ensure your event is a success!

 

Q. Do you offer a "Do Not Play"/Blacklist?

A. Absolutely!  Most couples have a handful of songs they might not want to hear during their wedding/event reception. We have a "blacklist" section on our forms for you to mark down any songs you don’t want us to play.   

 

Q. What type of music will the DJ play during my reception?

A. We have a wide selection of music including genre’s from 50s to the most current hits.  If you have any favourite or must play songs we will be sure to include those during the night.  We also have a wide selection of cultural/traditional music and have DJ’d several different events including: Filipino, Indian, Italian, Lebanese, Muslim, Polish, Portuguese - to name a few.  

 

Q. Do your DJ’s take requests from our guests?

A. Yes! We encourage your guests to make requests during the reception – after all we are playing for them!  Our DJ’s do their best to incorporate your guest’s songs – unless they ask for specific song that might be on your “do not play” list.

 

Q. Can you send me your music library list?

A. Unfortunately, we can’t provide a list of our music collection – because we have so many songs.  We can definitely go over your favourite genre’s and songs during our consultations to ensure we have the music you enjoy for the event. 

 

Q. How long will the DJ play for at my event?

A. We have different DJ service packages so you can choose the number of service hours to meet your needs.  You can also add on additional hours of service to any DJ package if your event is starting earlier or ending later.

  

Q. Do I really need DJ Lighting?

A. If you have room in the budget we always recommend adding on one of our DJ lighting packages.  When it’s time to dance the hall will dim the lights and without DJ lighting your guests are dancing in the dark. The addition of lights set the mood and encourage your guests to party.

 

Q. Do I need to feed the DJ?

A. Yes please! The DJ is responsible for ensuring the music & announcements during the entire evening go smoothly, so they aren’t able to leave the reception to go and grab some grub.  Many couples plan a vendor table for their reception floor plan that often includes their vendors: photographers, videographers and DJ.
